Which material is the right one?

If your 3D-printer can handle all materials, you are free to choose the material type according to your wishes. The most common materials for printing with 3D-printers are filaments made of ABS and PLA. ABS is the short form for acrylic butadiene styrene. In contrast to PLA it is slightly more stable and especially more heat-resistant.

PLA stands for Polylactic acid and refers to a purely natural material. It is usually made from plant material such as corn starch and is in the further processing easier to handle than ABS.
