STEM Medallion

Description

I recently had the privilege to give a presentation to a bunch of high-school students who were attending a STEM outreach event at a local university. The presentation was about how science, technology, engineering and math (the four STEM fields) help make things like quadcopters, virtual and augmented reality systems, and 3D printing possible and that more scientists, technologists, engineers and mathematicians are needed.

To help bring home some of what is possible from those fields, I designed and 3D printed a small medallion using a STEM logo I found through a Google search to give to the kids. Here's that design.

Credit should be given to the source of the STEM logo I used. You can find the art I used, found via a Google search, on the Austin Peay State Univiersity STEM page: http://www.apsu.edu/stem
